Definition of Organizational behaviour


An organization is a social arrangement for achieving controlled performance in pursuit of  collective goals. Social  arrangement indicates the observation that groups of people interact with each other as a consequence of their membership.




Collective goals indicates common membership of an organization aimed at achieving goals that are considered  worth wile  pursuing controlled performance of an organization as a whole determines its survival. The need for control performance leads to deliberate and orderly allocation of functions, establishment of authority relationship and determination of pay and promotion projects.

According to Derek pugh defines the organizational  behavior as,"The inter disciplinary body of knowledge  and field of research , concerned with how formal organization behavior of salient features of their context and environment.
